How does it work?

Find out more about how the project works and the stages of our work.

1

REVENUE

The project relies on the donation of plastic caps and can seals that we receive at our collection points and from our collection partners. Caps we collect: plastic caps in general, of any size, such as those from pet bottles, juice, milk, danone, cottage cheese, margarine, cleaning products such as disinfectant, fabric softener, detergent, hygiene products such as shampoo, conditioner, cream, deodorant, medicines, etc. and can seals separated from the caps, preferably stored in pet bottles.

2

SORTING AND SEPARATION BY COLOR

Once the donations have been collected, our volunteers get together to sort them or sort them by color at home. This stage is necessary in order to select the donations, as we receive a lot of materials that we don't use in the project and caps separated by color are worth more when sold for recycling. This stage also involves bagging the caps so that they are ready for sale.

3

LOGISTICS

As the project is spread across regions, we rely on volunteers to transport the bottle caps. The logistics take place between collection points and volunteers at all the main points for our stock and for recyclers.

4

SALE FOR RECYCLING

Finally, we sell properly bagged and color-separated plastic caps to plastic recyclers and can seals to aluminum recyclers.

5

HELP FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER

After being sold for recycling, the money is donated to help treat children with cancer. Every bottle cap makes a difference to the lives of these children and their families.
