socio-environmental project

Tampons that Heal

O Tampons that Heal is a non-profit socio-environmental project, guided by a dual objective: helping children and teenagers undergoing cancer treatment and promoting sustainability through recycling.

Our initiative is entirely voluntary and is dedicated to collecting plastic caps and can seals, which are sent for recycling. The proceeds from the sale of the materials are invested in the treatment of these children.

HOW DID THE PROJECT COME ABOUT?

The project Tampons that Heal was conceived in 2021 by Fernanda de Lucca, motivated by her personal experience with her son Lorenzo, diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia type B.

During Lorenzo's treatment, Fernanda witnessed first-hand the difficulties faced by many other families, often unable to afford expensive medication, maintain treatment or travel to other cities and countries in search of specialized care.

It was against this backdrop of vulnerability and need that the idea for the bottle cap campaign was born, a sustainable and accessible way of raising funds to help improve the treatment and well-being of these children.

WHY CAPS AND SEALS?

Not everyone can donate money, but EVERYONE produces waste and in a simple and easy way everyone can separate plastic caps and can seals and donate them to save lives and help the environment!

UNITING SUSTAINABILITY AND SOLIDARITY IN A SINGLE, TRANSFORMATIVE CAUSE

Tampons that HealWe see every bottle cap as an opportunity to make a difference.

By promoting recycling, we help to reduce the environmental impact caused by the improper disposal of plastic waste. At the same time, the resources generated offer hope and support to children battling cancer, providing better treatment conditions and well-being for them and their families.

Through the continuous dedication of our volunteers and the support of our partners, we work tirelessly to create a positive impact on both the environment and the lives of the children we help, uniting sustainability and solidarity in a single, transformative cause.

The Tampinhas que Curam project is an opportunity for everyone to contribute to a noble and essential cause for society and the environment.

A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot.
